NUH consultant hepatologist Dr Neil Guha, who is also an associate professor at the University of Nottingham, worked with health professionals across Nottinghamshire to develop a process for patients which would help identify liver disease before symptoms showed, when it's often too late to treat. It is one of the results of NUH's world-leading scarred liver project research.

The video featured Neil and one of his patients, Malcolm Graham, and is part of a joint initiative between the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University, called Universities for Nottingham, which focusses on the benefits the institutions bring to local people.
