Dewen is a Research Associate of Sir Peter Mansfield Imaging Centre, School of Medicine at the University of Nottingham. After studying medicine in China, Dewen completed both her MSc in Translational Neuroimaging and PhD in Radiological and Imaging Sciences at the University of Nottingham. Dewen’s research interests are in using neuroimaging to understand the mechanisms of cognitive impairment in different types of clinical populations including: vascular cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease and breathlessness. Dewen’s current work is focused on establishing neuroimaging markers of central mechanisms of breathlessness and the beneficial effect of physical exercise on brain health.
