Each of our research themes is led by an experienced research manager who oversees all aspects of the clinical trials within their theme. They have a key role in liaising with internal and external stakeholders as well as ensuring the effective delivery of our research programmes.

Professor Aithal's research interests: drug-induced liver injury, metabolic liver disease, hepatopancreaticobiliary imaging and epidemiology of liver and biliary disorders.

Professor Neil Guha

Theme Co-Lead

Professor Guha's research interests include non-invasive assessment of liver fibrosis, experimental diagnostics of chronic liver injury and clinical application of liver biomarkers.
