Deputy theme lead, Assistant professor in Hearing Sciences, theme training lead

Magdalena is Training Lead for the Theme as well as a senior researcher. She has over 16 years experience of working with people with different hearing disorders including those with tinnitus, cochlear implant users and prelingually deaf adolescents. Magdalena has gained experience in various audiological, neuropsychological and psychophysiological techniques as well as brain imaging methods (MEG).

Derek Hoare is an Associate Professor in Hearing Sciences and has worked as Research Lead for Tinnitus and Hyperacusis at Nottingham BRC.

Each of our research themes is led by an experienced research manager who oversees all aspects of the clinical trials within their theme. They have a key role in liaising with internal and external stakeholders as well as ensuring the effective delivery of our research programmes.
